My journey in sound finds its roots in an endless fascination for the ever changing patterns in nature and the uncanny beauty of poetic forms of expression ~ experiences of spaces where the imaginary invades the real, subtly changing our modes of expression and ways to experience and interact with the world. Discovering electronic sound synthesis on a Buchla system 100 at Sarah Lawrence College in New York was pivotal in my approach to listening and drastically opened my sensorial spectrum. It unravelled new ways to be in nature which in turn inspired a very personal and intimate approach to synthesis. Through performances, compositions and an ongoing field recording practice involving various degrees of personal interventions, I pay particular attention to sonic environments which are not easily accessed by humans - especially at the microscopic scale - using technology as a tool to feed the imagination with natural phenomena. `
